Harness Studio

keep yourself honest

The fourth and smallest academy. Where the others teach building things, this one teaches building a system that watches your own taste — to catch yourself when you start letting AI do the parts that should be yours.

Taste, concentrated

What this academy is really about.

You will spend your whole life making decisions about your own work. Is this draft good? Is this drawing finished? Is this message ready to send? Before AI, you only had to decide. After AI, you have to decide while a tool whispers "good enough" in your ear at every step.

Harness Studio teaches you to write down what you actually think is good, before AI can edit your taste without you noticing. Three dimensions. Three anchors. Three weeks of self-scoring. That's it. It's small. It's the most important academy.

When the cost of creation drops to zero,
taste is the only moat. — Eric De Castro, 2026

Why it's the last academy.

You can't write a rubric without something to score. By the time you arrive here, you should already have your own work: a Skill, a web page, an agent design, a journal entry, a sketch — something you've been making in this site or on your own.

The finale of this academy — Project 08 — is the finale of the whole site. After 3 weeks of weekly self-scoring, you'll have a tiny but real picture of how your taste moves over time, and where AI is silently nudging it.

2 projects · ~5 hours total + 3 weeks of weekly scoring

The two projects, in order.

Project07

Define Good

Pick a domain you make things in — a kind of writing, a kind of drawing, a Slack message, a Skill output. Write a 3-dimension rubric with anchors at 1, 3, 5. Score 3 examples by hand. Notice what your taste actually is.

You ship → 1 rubric (3 dimensions) + 3 hand-scored examples + a one-paragraph reflection on what surprised you.

Project08

Catch Yourself Drifting · Finale

Run your rubric on your own work, weekly, for 3 weeks. Plot the line. Read what changed. Make one fix. Write a half-page reflection: what does your taste look like now that you've watched it for 3 weeks?

You ship → 3 weekly self-scores + a simple line chart + a half-page reflection taped where future-you will see it.

What you walk out of this academy — and the whole site — with

A small but real Harness: a system that watches your own work and tells you when you're slipping. Most adults don't have one. You will. Combined with the Skill, the web page, and the agent design, you leave this site with a portfolio that proves something rare: that you used AI hard, and the result was unmistakably yours.
